Meet the Staff

Living Waters is primarly a volunteer operated organization. It takes 50 or more volunteer staff to get through the year. There is just no way we can list everyone, but here are just a few faces that you will commonly see around camp.

CAMP DIRECTOR, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, & PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Director: Roger Black (and his wife Karen) - Roger and Karen have been involved in Living Waters since the early 70's. Roger is now the camp director and Karen works in the office. Led with passion for reaching youth and adults, and most importantly a love for the Lord, Roger and Karen have been anchors to the ministry.

Assistant Director: Galen Elliott (and his wife Lisa)

Program Director: Dana Morrison (and his family Angela, Caleb and Aaron) - Meeting at camp in 1987 was just the beginning. Dana works with the kids program and Angela helps Karen in the office. Both have a strong love for youth and want to see Living Waters continue to reach the young generation.

WILDERNESS ADVENTURE PROGRAM LEADERS

Robert Constable

aka: "Wilderness Bob", of Unity, Maine, will be heading up the wilderness program again this summer. Bob will be working closely with a team of wilderness trip leaders as they plan, pack, pray for, and lead trips. Bob is a Living Waters Board Member, a Registered Maine Guide and is certified in Wilderness Advanced First Aid through Wilderness Medical Associates. Psalm 19:1

Tammi Matula

is a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio, a Registered Maine Guide, veteran of over 75 outings and is returning to give a hand during the summer of 2011. Tammi is a tremendous blessing to the program and is a very skilled and knowledgeable trip leader. She is an excellent role model with the younger staff and enjoys her role of mentoring. During the off season she is a teacher at the school here in Danforth.

Jeremy and Alissa Black

Jeremy and Alissa have been with Living Waters since 2004 when Jeremy came on full-time staff as the Facilities Manager. His day to day tasks involve caring for the livestock, overseeing barn activities, and maintaining camp buildings and vehicles. Alissa works full-time as a Fitness Trainer in the Houlton area and enjoys helping Jeremy around the camp when her schedule permits. They both love being active in the outdoors.

Liz Bell (and Family)

My love for Living Waters began when I was a counselor during college. I met my husband, Nathan at camp. My love for the grace and beauty of the horse began many years ago as a child when I took that first riding lesson. My desire is to give kids the opportunity to learn about horses and to be able to ride with confidence. Over the years I have helped in the barn on weekends and during the summers as I was able. The Lord, opened the door for me to volunteer on a full time basis in 2006. I hold an Instructor’s certification from Certified Horsemanship Association. I manage the barn staff’s daily activities, along with instructing the campers in basic horsemanship. In the picture with us is our daughter, Sara, who has worked along side of me in the barn, and our son, Jonathan, who likes to catch frogs.
