About Us

Our Philosophy

Living Waters Bible Conference is dedicated to delivering the Gospel message to youth and adults. At Living Waters, we are focused on giving each camper and adult a refreshing time as well as giving opportunities to make life changing decisions.

We use activities as drawing cards to create an environment where the youth and adults will have a great time which will in-turn promote the delivery of the Gospel message. Living Waters offers very competitive rates with a wide range of activities. What we charge the campers and families does not cover our operating expenses. Living Waters ministry is sustained by the support of churches and individuals.

We do not want to see any child be turned down the opportunity to attend camp! Living Waters has incorporated a scholarship program that reduces the cost of camp to only the registration fee for needy families.

To keep costs of operation down, our staff is made up primarily of volunteers. We rely each year on hundreds of volunteers to keep the camp running. Without volunteers, camp simply wouldn’t operate.

Statement of Faith

Even though Living Waters is non-denominational, we must subscribe to the following Statement of Faith. Each worker at our camp must agree with these fundamental cornerstones of our faith.

Living Waters is a fundamental, Bible-believing organization.

We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally inspired of God. They are without error in the original writings and they are the supreme and final authority for faith and life.

We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, who is eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, His death to pay the penalty for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation to God’s right hand, His personal pretribulational, and premillennial return.

We believe that all men have sinned and therefore are guilty before God and are under his condemnation.

We believe that all who, by faith, receive Jesus Christ are born-again of the Holy Spirit and therefore become children of God and are eternally saved, and that the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer to enlighten, guide and enable him in life, testimony, and service.

We believe that God gives spiritual gifts to all believers for the building up of the body of Christ. However, we believe that some gifts of the Spirit, such as tongues and healing, were evidently limited to the early church. We believe that God answers the prayers of His people and meets their needs according to His purpose.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in Glory, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in hell.

We believe all believers are called into a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices and alliances.

Our History

Living Waters Bible Conference was founded in 1970 by a group of Christian individuals, most notably Wendell and Joan Calder. Mr. Calder became the first director at Living Waters, and he served from 1970 until 1990, at which time the leadership role for the camp was handed to Roger and Karen Black. Since 1991, Roger has faithfully served as the Director at Living Waters. Mr. Calder remains actively involved in Living Waters, as he is invited back each year as a guest speaker.

For 40 years, we have continued to expand our programs, activities, and facilities. Working under the leadership of the Blacks, our staff continues to pass on the joy of camping and our love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to children and adults. We continue to look forward for what the Lord has for us in the years ahead.

Our Mission

Living Waters Bible Conference has a threefold mission:

1. To reach young people and adults by presenting a new hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2. To encourage spiritual maturity in those who are already believers, and

3. Give youth and adults a safe and positive atmosphere that will promote spiritual growth and physical refreshment.
