Wrangler in Training (W.I.T.) is an opportunity for you to spend two full weeks at Living Waters to further develop your Spiritual growth while enhancing your Horsemanship skills. W.I.T. campers will receive daily riding instruction (weather permitting)
and ground instruction from the CHA Manuals. They will also have the opportunity to work alongside the LW Barn Staff assisting with the daily chores and trail rides. To add to the fun we are planning an overnight trail ride, that will be led by a certified trip leader from Living Waters Wilderness Adventure Team. The camper must have a love for horses and a willingness to work with them on a daily basis. Prior riding experience is a plus but not necessary.
Horsemanship Skills:
• Receive daily riding lessons (weather permitting)
• Classroom Instruction from the CHA Manuals
• Assist with daily chores and trail rides offered to the rest of the campers
Spiritual Growth:
• Time will be set aside each day for a personal morning quiet time
• Daily devotions with the Barn Staff
• Nightly devotions in the dorm room
Interpersonal Growth:
W.I.T. campers will learn to work with others who have different backgrounds but a like faith and a love for horses. They will also have the opportunity to enjoy the waterfront activities during free time.
