Living Waters was founded in 1970, with 1971 being the first summer with guests on property. Living Waters was founded by Dr. Wendal Calder with a vision to evangelize youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr. Calder was the first Executive Director, followed by Roger Black who served Living Waters in multiple capacities for 46 years, most of that time as the Executive Director. Dave Morad is the current Executive Director and is excited to see what God has planned. With over 50 years of ministering to youth and families, Living Waters is well-established in gospel teaching, and showing and sharing the love of Jesus with our guests.

Living Waters offers three different types of summer camp experiences. First is our traditional overnight camp where youth and teens stay in a dorm with a counselor and other campers. They attend two Bible Hours per day and get to enjoy all of the amenities that Living Waters has to offer. Second is Adult/Family Camp. Come as an individual or as a family and relax and reconnect while visiting us on the shores of East Grand Lake. Adults also have two Bible hours per day, can participate in many outdoor activities; you can choose to cook your own meals or allow us to do all the work for you. Our third camp experience is our Wilderness Adventures. We offer a number of “Brochure” trips into the Maine woods guided by our State Licensed Guides and Trip Leaders. We also offer a full guide service, where you can book a custom trip for your group.

During the spring and fall, we host a number of different retreats: from church groups and Law Enforcement, to four-day holiday weekends and homeschooler weeks.
